Terms of Service

Last updated: July 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sparkbill app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Sparkbill is software that helps tradespeople create and send invoices and estimates, send payment reminders, and let their clients pay online. Sparkbill is a tool — it is not a bank, a payment processor, a collections agency, an accountant, or a law firm, and nothing in the Service is legal, tax, or financial advice.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your login secure, and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and use the Service for a business.

Payments & your Stripe account

Pay Now relies on your own connected Stripe account. You are the merchant of record for every payment your clients make. Card and bank processing, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, and any related fees are governed by your agreement with Stripe. Sparkbill does not hold, control, or have access to your funds and takes no cut of your payments.

Reminders & compliance

Sparkbill can send SMS and email reminders to the client contacts you provide. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact those clients and for complying with all applicable laws (including consumer protection, messaging, and debt-related rules in your area). Reminders are factual and non-threatening, are sent on your behalf, and recipients may opt out at any time.

Subscriptions & billing

Sparkbill offers a free tier (5 invoices) and a paid subscription (Sparkbill Pro, $49/month or $399/year). Paid subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel from your device’s subscription settings; store terms govern refunds.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to send spam or unlawful messages, to misrepresent who you are, to infringe others’ rights, or to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sparkbill is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or amounts owed to you by your clients. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date; continued use means you accept the revised Terms.
